Vodafone , wherever you go the network follows AND……

“Everyday I wana fly stay by my side… “ , one of the best advertising jingles I had ever heard , so much so that I took the pains to download it from youtube. Now the pup has been replaced by Zoo Zoos, I did the same, downloaded the videos, I liked the adds but that’s it. I have to be very objective when I watch and enjoy these adds.

Their campaign was : The network follows …. Then it frustrates you and robs you.
Some maths as evidence to the above allegation:

I use my mobile to talk for atleast 2.5 hours daily.
In the entire day there are atleast 3 calls, where even after the person accepts the call, either me or both of us cant hear each others voice.
There are atleast 3 other calls where call gets disconnected abruptly.
This is a very modest estimate ( 6 ) of the calls lost due to poor network
Each call costs me 60 paise.
6*60 paise = 3.6 Rupees
Per month I loose 3.6*30 = 108 Rs
To rub salt 12.5 % tax 1.125 * 108 = 121 ( approx )

This is the amount that is robbed from me by the network that follows…

PS : leave alone the STD / ISD calls that are dropped and yes the SMSs that are not delivered.

Parents

I love them because i am what i am because of them, Not that as a sign of gratitude i love them but i would not be happy without them. Amen.

But this doesnt stop me being critical ( in a healthy way ) about them.

During my initial days of college they said:
1) Most of the girls talk to you because they have some work.
my mind : For god sake dont push me to turn gay , i have spent 10 years in gay school ( guys school ) i am deprived and want no more of ittttt!!!!

2) Well girls trick wealthy and good looking guys into marriage
My mind: hahahahahhaha we are talking abt girls who cares

3) Studies should come first and at the right time you will get "everything"
My mind asking parents: Which college?

After graduation when i started working

1) Beware of girls in office most of them look to settle and they can trick you.
My mind : For god sake chalega, saala where are such females, its now 6 years and found none!!!

2) Since we have raised you , we have the right to choose ur life partner
My mind : Wait , oh no i have been transformed into a pig, that too raised for some crude life threatening experiments.

3) Incase you dont agree to point 2 you can expected to be disowned if not formally atleast "emotionally"
My mind: Rishtoon ke bhi roop badaltein haain , naaye naaye saachein mein dhalte hain..... Darn! that Ekkkkkkkta kkkkkkapoooor .

4) Your the only kid, incase you had siblings we would atleast approve love marriage
My mind: Yes thats my fault.

Throughout my life they say
1) If "anything" happens tell us first -- and now -- incase we like the girl we will think
My mind : laaaa la la la lala laaaaaa la la la ...

Mothers and sisters of relationships

A friend of mine told me this and i am sure it can make it a kewl masala film. If your a scirpt writer please use it and then if the film is hit i would file all the possible cases against you. Neways i have to censor it keeping in mind the young mind audience ( audience as of now thats me )

The Characters
My friend Mr whiny ( no longer one but still i would like to call him that)
His X girlfriend Ms X
X's close guy friend A
A's girlfriend B

The Background

Whiny and X use to go around, broke up, whiny got his name and became vulnerable and X became the patthar ke sanam ( sry :) ) as most of the guys make their Xs to be.
Well it so happened Whiny and X went to pardes. They landed in same country but in different regions.

The Plot

Whiny is "freinds" with X now, the wounds are still fresh , X is "close freinds" with A now and A is quite committed to B.

X and A share a lots of things and talk quite all day long. Whiny expresses his concern that X might be having feelings for A . X rubbished the suspicion by saying that whiny has cabbageX ( u see its not cabbage, courtesy vinod ) brains. She said that what does he know what freindship means.

Well after somedays X and A fight,X calls up whiny for support and whiny flys down to X's location. X says that she has fallen for A. For a moment all whiny could see is cabbageXs around. Well taking stock of the things he said that isnt A commited to B. To which X makes a super statement "Its ok if one person ( B ) suffers rather than 3 people suffering".
Well B makes entry here. B fights with A , well obvious but then its said everything is fair in love and war ( yes cliched but what follows is proof to it )

A , B and X discuss. Whiny is still btw at Xs location, alone :). B accepts her "fate" and X and A decide to be together , well as a couple *conditions apply.
* B is fine with X and A together as couple , but A also has to be with B. X and A decide to marry and B decides to be part of extra-marital affair.

And all of them live happily ever after. Well about whiny i dunno why he went there but i am glad he was there if not for him i would not know this....

Me or Destiny

Whatever happens happens for good 'some' say
'Others': Man maketh his own destiny

I have always frowned on 'some'
and have been inspired by 'Others'

I have been a dreamer
whose hope for life is built on his dream

I say,

What good is derived when you see
results that are far from hope

Eventhough you have given your best
you see yourself at median, at best

It requires unfathomable hope
to think that you would succeed just after a failure that has left you broken

Since

Fear feeds doubt , doubt eats up hope
and hope cripples perception

the very perception of your abilities seems diluted
then the dilution of your dream is initiated

'Others' and 'some' go through the same
'some' accept dilution as destiny
'Others' find diltuion against their "destiny"

the fight against dilution is very long
and refuge to 'some' seems to come along

At this point i wonder if i am wrong
but i wouldnt be able to live if 'some' is where i belong.

The great wall of CHINA

The peace march at gateway against terror attacks of mumbai was an expression of frustration and anger which was very much justified. Government, Politicians and policy implementations were scoffed at. Blogs and mails carried the same sentiments.

We take freedom of expression for granted ,well some regional parties take it toooo much for granted, i must say i am thankful that i have freedom of expression and i am a citizen of democratic India. If this thanks seems too over the top be read along.

I had heard that during Beijing olympics the performers of the inauguration ceremony were made to stand for long hours in a restricted environment. The Chinese officials were considerate enough to make arrangements for natures call. The performers were made to wear diapers!!!!!. I had heard more humiliating accounts like forced vasectomy for birth control and forced evacuation during Shanghai development.

A subtle, effective and sinister approach is employed by China to influence public opinion over internet.
Opinions can be freely expressed over the internet, posted anonymously and they reach far and wide quickly. Rather then gagging the netizens , China employs people who post comment in favor of government and each positive comment is worth 50 Chinese cents. The following is the account i have taken from BBC :

A document released by the public security bureau in the city of Jiaozuo in Henan province boasts of the success of this approach.

It retells the story of one disgruntled citizen who posted an unfavourable comment about the police on a website after being punished for a traffic offence.

One of the bureau's internet commentators reported this posting to the authorities within 10 minutes of it going up.

The bureau then began to spin, using more than 120 people to post their own comments that neatly shifted the debate.

"Twenty minutes later, most postings supported the police - in fact many internet users began to condemn the original commentator," said the report.

Also i have read that there are filters deployed that block blogs with words "democracy" , "freedom" etc.

The following are the two pages for more info :

the thread then and now

Once upon a time
Her pearl black eyes use to shine to show me the reflection of her love
Her lips use to curl and a beautiful smile use to unfold at the slightest hint of love
When her slender fingers use to touch, my heart use to race
my words use to melt and my eyes use to close,
i loved that command, i loved that submission
i wanted her rule, i wanted her supervision

Through her flowery frangrance and her soft voice she wrapped around me her arms of love
i loved that cuddle and loved that closeness such that it blended in me and my soul
i needed her mind to think
i needed her arms to sink , couldnt walk without her.

Little did i realize that i was so woven into her
that there was no thread individual to my life.

Suddenly
The lips curled but with a frown
the eyes dint shine,a hollow had replaced the reflection,
the same slender finger pointed, for me to go
i was a thread separated from the fabric of her love
waiting to be woven, pleading to be attached, begging to be one.

Lonely and dejected i waited for her to come
The darkness of the night provided cover for my tears
The stray light through the window, stark darkness in the room and the breeze flagging my curtains
symbolized my despondent mind

Gradually
The instinct of survival prevailed,
A voice, a sentence helped me sail
"Its my life"
A fight to open my eyes to the fact
shes gone and the feeling are all wrong
Anger and cursing seemed too weak to uproot
the memory roots from deep within
Then i realized that their nourishment was me and dawned the trick to let go
Slowly and steadily i saw the picture that feelings had no subject to show

The thread that was thrown changed forever
realized that it could never want to be attached as a string
instead grow and adorn colors that it likes
and hope that someday that the fabric it grows into
finds another of the same kind that can be great together being woven independently.

Paradigm shift in the way i saw PHILIPS

Technology perks me up. What i saw on NDTV - gadget guru left me agape. The show covered Sense and Simplicity Event 2008 in Moscow. The technology that PHILIPS used made me feel like an ape man (not jane's ape man ;) ).

Concepts presented showed the most futuristic technology i have seen.

1) The Light Blossom

True to its name this lamp post blossoms when the sun shines. The "petals" collect solar energy and like a sunflower it always faces the sun to tap maximum of suns energy. During cloudy days the petals can act as wind turbine to tap wind power. Also it is intelligent enuff to switch between solar and wind power to get maximum energy. Once the sun sets the petals transform themselves into light. Well the pole also has LEDs all over it. It has proximity sensors as to dim when noones around and brighten up when people are close by. Moreover it does not require any installation or grid connectivity ideal for remote and rural locations.

2) The Green Cuisine

"The 'Green Cuisine' concept stands for cooking with consciousness" as the PHILIPS website says. I dunno what it means. I surely know after seeing it one would say theres more to it than meets the eyes.

A simple white table probably the size of TT table, though a squarer version of it. A container was kept on it and suddenly a disc of light started glowing below it.One swipe of hand around it and you can set the optimum heating temperature. The container can be placed anywhere on the table the sensors take care of it.

If u want to kewl your wine no problem place it in on the table and tada it will be cooled.Recycling the bio degradable waste no problem. The table has a rectangular lid, The waste is to be fed there and the table gives out a disc which can be placed in flower pots serving nutrition for them. One can preset the temperature of the water to avoid wastage.

Prior to this i saw Philips as a company who use to make radios and recently kewl bulbs and oversized mp3 players.
